Who Are You?

 

Andy Forster

I am the founder of Bath Life and five other lifestyle publications, plus organiser behind Queen Square Skating – the ice-rink in Bath in 2004; a fun-loving business guy that clearly sees paths that no-one else can even contemplate may exist. I make it happen, whatever it is you require.

 

 

What Do You Do?

I make a difference – a difference to people. As a result I make a difference to your thinking and a difference to your business. Creative solutions to most things; I coach and mentor to get your people to find solutions – the answers lie on your doorstep. I believe there is no point in doing a job twice – don’t ask me the question twice; its not value for money.

And Your Style?

Straightforward and honest. I ask difficult questions to help you learn how to spot the answer. Experience is one thing, intuition should override this. When it feels right it might be – so challenge your decision. I can aid this process.

What Have You Done?

Started a small media business with two people and some buttons in a jar. From which I created a media business and platform so interesting that the Chief Executive of one of Europe’s largest publishers bought the company.

Why Should I Care?

Because it’s your business. You should want to make a difference and you can take all the glory for my advice – after all at the end of the day its your decision.

What Can You Do For Me That I Can’t Do For Myself?

Sit on your shoulder and ask you questions (although you may ask them yourself), you won’t get rid of me until you have clarity and are definite about what you are doing.

What Mistakes Would You Stop Me Making?

There are no mistakes in business only bad decisions. Everyone makes mistakes including me that’s why I will only challenge what you are doing – you will make the decisions. If you want to call them mistakes then the best mistake you’ll avoid is wasting money, the one’s you’ll still experience are trying things that fail – although you’ll learn from these so are they mistakes?

How Else Would You Save Me Money (Or Make Me Money)

I will make you money by getting you and your people more equipped, confident, inspired, motivated and responsible.

Give Me An Example Of One Business You Worked With This Year?

Leisure TV; a new concept in Cornwall. I met two guys with no experience and a great idea. I assisted in structuring the business, generating over £50K revenue, recruiting and training a team, writing the company strategy, business plan and financials which led to raising £150,000 of funding, created the product in terms of channel content, wrote all the sales literature from what they were selling, prices, presentation and implemented these through my own sales and that of a sales team that I recruited and trained.
